It came to me unexpected
while out with friends,
the sudden image
of your hand
circling around my waist
under the bedcovers.
It was so real I felt
the sensation of your arm
against my skin
and I was flooded
by the presence of you,
sometimes your existence
overcomes me.
And I was so ready
to touch
that I wanted to reach
within the gaps between us
and somehow bridge
the light-years of seperation.

A beautiful and intimate poem, as always. I am currently in the midst of André Aciman's Call Me By Your Name and this poem reminds me of several passages.
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήOh, wow, thank you!
ΔιαγραφήI have not gotten around to it yet, would you recommend it?
Yes, I like the novel very much. It is such an intimate and insightful story of the depths of a first love, something I think is highly relatable.
ΔιαγραφήYeah that happens. Love lust nostalgia all come together in involuntary imagination; you feel what is not there yet very much there. Your poem comes alive, beautiful
ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήI think I am beginning to get used to the idea that this will keep happening.
